Abstract

Education in Indonesia has undergone various updates to adapt to the times. However, reality shows that education today has not fully met the needs of society or produced optimal results. Although various learning systems and methods are implemented in schools, the results are often not up to expectations. In fact, Indonesia has an original learning system, namely the among system, which was designed by Ki Hajar Dewantara. This study aims to outline the stages, implementation, and challenges in the implementation of the among Ki Hajar Dewantara system combined with differentiated learning at MI Al-Ijtihad during the odd semester of the 2023/2024 school year. The research was conducted at MI Al-Ijtihad for more than two months with data collection methods in the form of observations, interviews, and documentation studies. The collected data was analyzed using a qualitative approach with phenomenological types. The results of the study show that differentiated learning has been implemented by utilizing Indonesian printed books as the main reference and source of inspiration. This learning includes differentiation in learning environments, content, processes, and products. This differentiation begins with the identification of students' learning needs through initial surveys, pretests, or initial assessments. Based on the results of this mapping, the teacher then designs appropriate Indonesian learning. However, learning differentiation does not mean that teachers have to provide different teaching materials or methods for each student. Teachers also carry out evaluation and reflection as part of the learning process. Although the implementation of learning differentiation takes more time and this is often an obstacle for teachers, the steps of differentiated learning are still carried out. Indonesian printed books are used as the main reference source in the implementation of the among system that is integrated with differentiated learning, starting from the stages to its implementation.
