Abstract

This article explores the impact of curriculum innovation on education, specifically on enhancing students' skills. The primary focus is to identify the obstacles educators face in implementing the new curriculum and the responses of students to these changes, with the goal of improving classroom education effectiveness. The research employs a library study method with four stages: preparation of tools, bibliography, time organization, reading, and note-taking. Data are collected from books, journals, and existing research, and analyzed through content and descriptive analysis to critically and thoroughly support the research propositions. The core discussion addresses the impact of curriculum changes on teaching approaches and strategies, including the challenges teachers face in implementing curriculum innovations, student responses, and the effect of these innovations on skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. The article emphasizes the importance of effective socialization, strategies to overcome teachers' challenges, and understanding student responses to curriculum innovations. While curriculum innovation has the potential to improve educational effectiveness, obstacles such as limited resources and resistance to change persist. Comprehensive support from the government, schools, teachers, and the community is crucial for the successful implementation of the new curriculum.
